Meet Dr. Caitlin Spacek

I'm Dr. Caitlin, the proud practice owner of Southview Dental Care. Growing up in North Dakota, I developed a deep appreciation for the tight-knit communities and the values they hold dear. After graduating with honors from North Dakota State University (Go Bison!), where I met my amazing husband, Alex, I knew I wanted to make a difference in people's lives through dentistry. My passion for oral health and serving others led me to pursue a dental degree. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where I not only gained a solid foundation in dentistry but also earned an additional certification in public health. This experience equipped me with a unique perspective on the importance of preventive care and community outreach.

When it came time to decide where to establish our roots, my husband and I knew that the Fargo-Moorhead area was the perfect place to call home. We are excited to serve the community where my husband grew up and that I fell in love with during my time spent at NDSU.

Speaking of family, we have one fur baby named Fenrir, who brings us endless joy and laughter. We hope to expand our family in the near future and share our love with more little ones. At Southview Dental Care, my mission is to provide exceptional dental care that goes beyond just treating teeth. I believe in building long-lasting relationships with my patients, based on trust, compassion, and open communication. I strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment where you can feel at ease during your dental visits.

Hello, I’m Kayla, and I’ve had the privilege of being a dental hygienist at South View Dental for over 20 years. I am truly passionate about oral health and love helping my patients achieve and maintain beautiful smiles. It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of their journey, from routine cleanings to ensuring they feel confident with their smiles every day. I studied at North Dakota State College of Science, where I developed the skills and knowledge that have shaped my career and my love for what I do.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I’m a proud mom to two wonderful children – a daughter and a son – and we love playing basketball together. Church and family time are also an important part of my life, and I find joy in those moments of connection and reflection. Whether at work or with my loved ones, I’m grateful for the opportunities to make a positive impact and to share moments of happiness and growth.

Hello! I’m Lexi, a dental hygienist who graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College here in Moorhead, MN, with my Dental Hygiene degree. I also hold a Restorative Functions certification, which allows me to perform select fillings chairside alongside Dr. Caitlin. Before becoming a hygienist, I worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Caitlin.

What I love most about dentistry is that it’s a lifelong learning career, offering constant opportunities to expand my skills while helping patients achieve better oral health. My passion for dentistry started with a personal connection—growing up, I struggled with dental anxiety, and I understand how intimidating the dentist’s office can feel. My goal is to make a difference, one appointment at a time, by helping patients feel comfortable and turning dental visits into positive experiences.

I’m originally from Fort Ransom, North Dakota, and now live in Fargo, ND, with my boyfriend, our two children, Westyn and Raelynn, and our goldendoodle, Basil. When I’m not working, I love to travel, go hiking, fish, bake sourdough, and spend quality time with my family.

Hi, I’m Emily! Originally from the F-M area, I recently moved back home to be closer to family and to join the Southview Dental Care team.

What I love most about my role is building meaningful connections with our patients. To me, each patient is unique and deserves personalized care. I’m passionate about ensuring everyone feels comfortable and supported during their visits. Every day, I learn something new from our patients, and it reminds me how much they truly mean to me. Their trust and well-being are what drive me to provide the best care possible.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and extended family. I love being outdoors and staying active whenever I can.

 Hi! My name is Jana, and I am one of the dental assistants here at Southview! I graduated from M-State Moorhead in 2025 with a Dental Assistant degree. I truly enjoy working with our patients and making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for during their visit—I even like to sneak in a joke or two to make you laugh along the way!

I’m originally from Newfolden, MN, and have been enjoying life in Fargo for a few years now. Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and family, going on walks, working out, and, of course, spending time with animals—because who doesn’t love a furry friend to brighten your day?
